Premiere: Revivis – Zed Up (Silverlining Remix)

Now on its fourth outing, Silverlining’s Neotropiq label is a fine place to go if you’re looking for quality tech house bombs. So far, the label has maintained a release schedule of one EP a year, taking a quality over quantity approach and paying homage to the best side of the often maligned genre.

Up until now, Neotropiq’s focus has been on Silverlining’s own productions and collaborations. The first releases came from Two Right Wrongans (with Nathan Coles) and Appleheadz (with Charlie Inman). On NtQ004, the imprint brings new talent into the fold, recruiting Berlin-based Revivis for an EP that holds its own with the forefathers.

Revivis brings slick production to the table on ‘Fruition’, demonstrating a deep knowledge of what keeps the crowd moving. For our premiere, the UK native hands the reins over to the label boss. Silverlining delivers a stellar remix of ‘Zed Up’, doused in his signature shuffle, groovy stabs and unbelievably crisp drums.

‘Fruition’ is scheduled for release 7 May via Neotropiq. Order a copy from Juno.
