Sound Avenue sub-label Crossfade Sounds prepare to release the debut dub techno EP from UK producer Sam Ashton, now operating under the name Tharn.
Formerly releasing as Fortresses with release on Dragon’s Eye Recordings, Ashton transitions into deeply atmospheric dub techno realms, crafting echo-laden chambers and deep-rooted rituals sounding akin to Claro Intelecto and cv313.
Across three tracks, ‘Seek‘ traverses the borderlands between memory and mirage. Merging celestial dub, meditative minimalism and early-morning introspection. Our pick is lead track, ‘Seek‘ emerging like a mantra whispered through analogue dust, its frequencies wander in vaporous delay. Hovering somewhere between the sacred and the sleep-deprived.
