Another week, another impeccable guest mix delivered for our sister series — this time courtesy of Finnish legend Samuli Kemppi.
This enigmatic techno producer has been refining his sound for over a decade now, with releases spanning upon labels such as Deep Space Helsinki, Komisch, Nonplus and most recently — his own imprint, Blacklabel Distillery.
The most recent output from the aforementioned label is a collaboration between Kemppi and fellow techno legend Inigo Kennedy, entitled Catalogue Of Errors. A riveting journey of klaxon-bent aphasia, this four-tracker represents a melding of old and new tricks from a clever twosome that has seen the landscape change over their many years of experience, and Kemppi does the same with his excellent guest mix for Newtype Rhythms.
Get ready to get into a twilight zone of tectonic bliss, as he settles in at around 43 minutes in, with resident Sheepshead warming things up in the beginning as always.
