The latest episode of Newtype Rhythms features a guest mix from upstate New York upstart Sobolik, a fresh voice that’s uniquely placed outside of the chasm of the inner-workings of the immensely-dense grasp of the city’s underground and flourishes away from its clutches.
After releasing releasing a four-tracker recently on Turin-based imprint Early Reflex, the up-and-comer also appeared on the most recent 3024 compilation ‘It Was Always There Vol. 1′, a magnificent showcase of burgeoning talents mentored by bass legend Martyn.
While we knew Sobolik would be an excellent choice to herald a mix for our sister series, we had no idea it would be this momentous; as it stretches well over two hours and sixty tracks. Touching upon so many flavours of the percussive and sub-sonic level rainbow, we dare you to try and catch a breath – it is seriously that damn good.
