Video Premiere: Mor Elian – Drum Vortex

Originally from Tel Aviv, but now spending most of her time between Los Angeles and Berlin, Mor Elian first surfaced last year with her debut EP ‘323 To Plaza‘, released via Trus’me’s Prime Numbers imprint.

The Israeli producer is now back with her second instalment ‘Drum Vortex‘, an alluring four-tracker featuring two original mixes and another pair of reworks courtesy of Dekmantel mainstay Joey Anderson and Exile co-founder Markus Suckut.

Fellow Tel Aviv-based DJ and producer Ori Kenneth aka Alek Lee directed a special video montage for the occasion, created from footage of a marathon race and its funny subplots. The shuffling lilt of Elian’s original cut finds a perfect echo in the cruising speed of the runners, kicks and hats getting more impactful as the tempo smoothly revs up. A tight balance!

Drum Vortex is released via Hypercolour on July 8th, pre-order a vinyl copy from Juno.
