There’s no denying it, Nic Tasker’s record label Whities has had a phenomenal year and has firmly risen up the ranks as one of the most on-point experimental record labels in the UK.
2018 witnessed hit after hit of first-rate extended players from Quirke, Giant Swan, Nathan Micay and Reckonwrong. Whities also launched their Blue 12″ series, unleashing split records from E-Talking and Laksa, Upsammy and BFTT, SMX and Koehler, Tessela and Lanark Artefax.
As the days draw nearer to the end of the year, Whities reveal their final release of 2018 in the form of a luminous pink EP from Overmono, the production duo made up of real-life brothers Tessela and Truss. According to the press release it is “a three-track 12″ of varying styles, all showcasing an impressive dexterity with melody, texture and emotion.”
The record comes in a sticker-fastened sleeve, featuring notes that nod to Overmono’s early introduction to rave in the Welsh countryside. The sleeve was designed by Alex McCullough and Kia Tasbihgou.
