The latest episode of our sister mix series Newtype Rhythms features an invigorating guest mix from one of our personal favourites, the inimitable Wordcolour.
After a tremendous 2022 on the Houndstooth label with his “Bluster” EP as well as his impressive ”The trees were buzzing…” full-length – it’s safe to say that there’s nary an artist that can imbue such fluidity between genre, tone and texture as Wordcolour.
However, Wordcolour’s prowess within the realm of production are matched just as mightily with their mixing skills, as their guest mix for Newtype Rhythms provides the expansive sonic oeuvre that invigorates this impressive producer’s energies within a more kinetic, uplifting dancefloor approach. Check out their impressive mix starting at around 39 minutes in, with resident Sheepshead warming things up per usual.
