Following the limited edition release of Jimmy Billingham’s ‘Worlding‘ LP in 2019, just 20 units available, the London-based producer marks his return as HOLOVR with a new nine-track album on Indole Records.
Composed and recorded prior to lockdown, ‘Nothing is Whole‘ explores ambient, drone, experimental, field recordings, plus modular processing and multitrack looping – resulting in a beautiful body of sun-bleached soundscapes for deeply pensive and introvert moments.
Billingham comments that it is “a reflection on the very idea of fragility, comprising an unintentional soundtrack to a period where impermanence permeates every corner of culture”. Track highlights include ‘Encounter’, ‘Rim of the Sun’ and ‘Standing Still’.
