Imaginary Softwoods lines up ‘The Notional Pastures Of Imaginary Softwoods’ LP on Field Records

Cleveland-based producer John Elliott aka Imaginary Softwoods marks his return to Dutch imprint Field Records in February with the release of ‘The Notional Pastures Of Imaginary Softwoods‘.

Following in the wake of 2019’s vinyl re-issue of Elliott’s stunning fourth full-length releaseGold Fiction Loop Garden‘ – his latest album is said to present a rich collection of ambient works that offer the most cohesive and interconnected reading of Elliott’s craft to date.

Former member of Emeralds with Steve Hauschildt and Mark McGuire, plus countless other outfits including Organic Dial and Outer Space, boss of Editions Mego sister-label Spectrum Spools (home to Container, Donato Dozzy, Bee Mask and more) as well as his own Mineral Disk imprint – John Elliott is a busy man and is fully dedicated to his unwavering output as Imaginary Softwoods. Highlights from the album include ‘Parterre‘, ‘Almond Branch‘, ‘Mr. Big Volume‘.
