Hot on the heels of his recently issued debut for Mind Records, Japanese producer Kota Watanabe, alias Cemetery, returns with the second instalment in his ongoing trilogy. The three-track ‘Yaoyorozu‘ EP is lined up for release on 15th October 2019.
Engineering a whelming mix of traditional Nippon music, atmospheric abstraction and further experimental, cutting-edge electronics, the title-cut offers a poignant take on liturgical chant and the sacred. As choirs dissolve in subducting layers of abrasive FX, droney envelopes and scrambled crypto-tech substrata, one can not but gape wide, utterly dazed and confused by such a densely sensory downpour.
