Premiere: CoastDream – Oh La La

In a matter of only one year of – intense! – activity, it’s safe to say it didn’t take long to London-based imprint X-Kalay to set up one of the most consistent catalogues of lush deep house groovers and sun-bleached lo-fo flavours out there, garnering some compelling contributions from up-and-coming talents such as Pearl River Sound, Rudolf C, Seixlack, Aquarium and now the young Brazilian talent CoastDream.

After a solid breakthrough year marked by no less than three solo outings on Deeptrax, Renascence and Paling Trax, CoastDream returns with a luscious four-tracker that oozes nothing but midsummer warmth and poolside lazing with its hooky piano stabs, slow-cooked pads and pumping Chicagoan rhythms, jazzed up with a full-on rave’y vibe on the feverish jungle closer ‘La Esperanza‘.

Our premiere, ‘Oh La La‘, drags off its lush piano-strewn harmonics for a captivating journey across offshore balearic terrains and vibrant celestial horizons. Drawing its title from the honey-dew vox sample that bursts back and forth along with a stealth jacking groove and smooth synth tides lapping onto the shingle unbrokenly, the track embeds its deep fragrance with such addictive effect that it shall have you humming its intoxicating melody over and over again.

Soft Moon is released via X-Kalay on 17th April, pre-order a vinyl copy from Juno.
