Beat Machine have been around in the prolific Italian electronic music scene for a few years now. Founded in 2012, the Milan-based imprint aims to represent the musical trends that arise from the clash of new technologies with a particular focus on all the sub-genres born from the outer echelons of the worldwide web.
Drenched in a heavy compound of bass, jungle and footwork, the label’s latest instalment, ‘Discarga Verde‘, comes courtesy of local producer Giancarlo Brambilla aka Kuthi Jinani. Today we are happy to premiere a revisitation of the title-track by UK artist Ipman, who masterfully seasons Discarga’s original grime version with eerie techno hi-hats. Metallic howls weave together with a candy-coated melody and padded bassline, whilst Jinani keeps the bassy distortions and bouncy static of the initial version intact. The perfect soundtrack to post-modern dreams.
Discarga Verde EP is released via Beat Machine on 2nd November 2017, pre-order a copy from Bandcamp.
