Following on from releases by Mall Grab, LK and Steven Be Calm, the one year Shall Not Fade welcomes Portuguese producer Lake Haze to the family with the ‘Somewhere Between Shadows‘ EP, scheduled for release on June 20th.
Known for his contributions to DJ Haus’ UTTU and TLR’s mighty Crème Organization catalogues, Gonçalo Salgado returns with a bleak four-track burner true to his regular blend of lo-fi druggy epics and dystopian drives, all drowned in foggy late night panoramas and acidic, tape-saturated grounds.
Today we’re glad to offer you a first taster of this stunning new plate with ‘S.M.H‘, a straight up nostalgic lift across cloudy, pad-upholstered skylines and emotional flat shifts, slowly heckled by a passive-aggressive onslaught of 303 swells. A full-on threatening vibe and intense magnetic blast.
Somewhere Between Shadows EP is released via Shall Not Fade on June 20th, pre-order a vinyl copy from the label’s Bandcamp.
