Premiere: Matrixxman – Power Drain Ft. Exos

Matrixxman lands on Planet X with a storming 4-track EP bridging the cosmic and the industrial with devastating style and class. After a heady 2-part A side, ‘Power Drain‘, featuring label head Exos, is one for the approaching peak hours, and invigorates the B side with a juddering, staccato arrangement.

Electric midrange fries the brain as a stomping main room kick builds tension, slowly but determinedly headed towards a bridge point that simultaneously balances high intensity pressure and controlled release of energy.

Showcasing Matrixxman’s astute ear for the dance floor, on ‘Power Drain‘ simple elements converge to form a stone-cold whole, the iterative, menacing force of the two tone refrain atop the punching bass line driving the composition forward without over-balancing the mix.

‘PX003’ is scheduled for release via Planet X on 16 December 2019. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
