Following the release of Rone’s fifth album in April, Infiné realign their sights with ‘Room With a View Remixes‘ – a three-track EP featuring reworks from Plaid and an exquisite ambient extraction from young Kenyan talent KMRU, sitting on the very precipice of peace and discomfort.
Building gently but with purpose, KMRU’s remix is laden with gently quivering micro-acoustics, both organic and synthetic. There’s a careful, faltering progression to the remix; haunting and febrile throughout, the shivering crescendo nearly passes the listener by, but the ghost of it rings in the ears as it departs.
‘Room With a View Remixes’ is scheduled for release 24 July.
