Premiere: Rudolf C – Deep Sea Survivor

Over two years since his first incursion on the label, Australian-born Berlin-based vibist Rudolf C returns to X-Kalay with ‘Deep Sea Survivor‘ – a sweeter than sweet quartet of laid-back but dancefloor-optimised jams folded in monoi-scented pacific flavours. One to sip your mojito to and dream away to idyllic places.

If there’s one thing Rudolf C knows to do well, it’s to combine the drive of classic jacking house tunes and break-strewn appeal of the ’90s UK sound within his own imaginary canvas of sun-streaked ambiences and deep, dubby subaquatic scapes.

Recently featured by DJ Seinfeld in his DJ Kicks mix, our pick ‘Deep Sea Survivor‘ flies us off somewhere in the zone between a jam-packed club, knee-deep in sweat, and heavenly tropics where only rattling jungle’y drums and mangled horns may disrupt the quiet swash of a clock calm sea, woozy pads and bird-like synth whistles. Highly addictive material from a producer at the top of his game.

Deep Sea Survivor is released via X-Kalay on , pre-order a copy from Bandcamp.
