Premiere: Stacie-Anne Churchman – Temporal Ease

Seven years after their inaugural release, Sheffield-based imprint and record store Black Beacon Sound enlisted six producers to contribute to raising awareness of unhoused humans on their forthcoming various artist compilation ‘Sampler: Part One’.

Consisting of 6 tracks, the compilation gathers a roster of English mavericks, which features the likes of Future Bubblers affiliate Cult Architect, Denham Audio’s Groovy D, Azeria, 3 Feet Deep’s torchbearer Théo BR, Isis Moray and Stacie-Anne Churchman. With all its proceeds sent for the Sheffield cathedral ‘Archer Project‘,  ‘Sampler: Part One‘ spans tumified breaks, ethereal ballads, UK Garage and minimal braindance.

Our pick for the premiere is ‘Temporal Ease‘ interpreted by Stacie-Anne Churchman – a meditative humming wheel leading on through the misty Mermaid’s Pool. With high-spirited bells, digital psalms, and ceremonial percussion, ‘Temporal Ease‘ evokes a peaceful afterlife in a mettlesome Arcadia.

‘Sampler: Part One’ is scheduled for release on 1st December via Black Beacon Sound. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
