Rod Modell set to release ‘Ghost Lights’ on Astral Industries

Rod Modell has used his extensive discography of collaborations and varied solo monikers – most notably Deepchord – to explore the intersections of sprawling dub techno and floaty, haunted ambient. He dives headfirst into the latter category on ‘Ghost Lights‘, his latest for Astral Industries.

Seeking “a wide, cinematic sound”, ‘Ghost Lights’ follows in the tradition of the London-based imprint, with sidelong pieces that evoke images as grand as the cosmos and as intimate as cavernous terrestrial zones.

Spread across a double vinyl release, Rod Modell employs his arsenal of gear to craft works “woven with layer upon layer of hidden fragments and supernal transmissions”, as “each chapter takes the listener successively deeper into the twilight zone”.

‘Ghost Lights’ is scheduled for release on the 1st September. Order a vinyl copy from Inverted Audio Store.
