Inverted Audio Launches Vinyl-Only DJ Lessons

Inverted Audio has announced the launch of a new series of one-to-one vinyl DJ lessons at its Peckham record store, led by Inverted Audio founder DJ Antepop. The sessions are aimed at beginners and developing DJs who want to learn the authentic craft of mixing records on turntables, with a strong focus on hands-on, real-world skills.

Taking place at the Inverted Audio Record Store in Holdrons Arcade, the lessons are strictly vinyl-only. There are no screens, no sync buttons and no shortcuts – just decks, records and practical guidance. Students can choose to learn on either a traditional fader-style mixer or an analogue rotary mixer, offering insight into both classic and contemporary mixing approaches.

Across the 1.5-hour private sessions, participants will cover the core foundations of DJing with vinyl. This includes the theory behind how turntables work, manual beat-matching and cueing, mixing and EQ techniques, understanding track structure and transitions, as well as turntable setup, vinyl handling and crate digging. The lessons also cover how to record mixes at home and, crucially, how to build confidence behind the decks.

Each session is priced at £100 and is tailored to suit either complete beginners or DJs looking to refine their existing skills. Students are encouraged to book multiple sessions to build their ability over time in a supportive, focused environment.

All lessons take place at Inverted Audio Record Store, a specialist electronic music record store and cultural hub located in Holdrons Arcade, just a short walk from Peckham Rye Station in South London.
