The seventh edition of Intonal will take place 20-24 April in Malmö, featuring performances from DJ Bone, Fulu Miziki, Grouper, Hiro Kone, John T. Gast, Nkisi and Space Afrika.
Described as a “blazing inferno of experimental music, art, and dancing” – Intonal has become a beacon of light for the Nordic experimental scene, dedicated to curating international lineups exploring all avenues of the electronic music spectrum, sub-genres and unique expressions.
For the occasion, Intonal have invited artists from all over the world to Malmö, connecting them with local heroes and participants. Some are true legends in their fields – such as Grouper and DJ Bone, others are legends in the making, like Kinshasa based Fulu Miziki or Manchester’s Space Afrika.
Several world premieres have also been commissioned by the festival, in many cases by artists working with Intonal residencies, like Hiro Kone, Vincent Bahar and Japanese duo WaqWaq Kingdom.
