Holler people, it’s this time of the year again. Today we’re no short of glad to present you the first wave of acts that’ll be unfurling on Bygrave Woods for the ninth edition of Farr Festival, and we have little doubt you’ll be drooling over this inaugural list of artists scheduled to perform.
We caught up with Athens based left-field dub producer Jay Glass Dubs shortly before his recent recent UK tour. The prolific Bokeh Versions/Seagrave/Tapeworm affiliated artist discusses the nature of dub music, his unique approach to composition, and life in the Greek capital.
“Arabxo Ishara” by Abu Ama isn’t a political work of art. It’s simply an album of electronic music – samples, beats and rumbling bass. Through it’s collage style production however, it somehow captures all that’s good about living in a culturally diverse community, locally and globally.
Today we are premiering Abu AMA’s ambient soundscape ‘Kufi Wood Art’, the seventh track from his new album ‘Arabxo Ishara’, scheduled for release 22nd August 2016 on Bokeh Versions. ‘Kufi Wood Art’ effortlessly eschews beats for a more timbral affair of woodwind and downtempo electronica.
