Lunchmeat Festival 2021

Prague’s experimental media and arts festival Lunchmeat have unveiled the first and second wave of acts to grace the 12th edition, featuring artists including; Lyra Pramuk, Helena Hauff, Aquarian, and a 25th Anniversary showcase from Raster.

Taking place between September 27 – October 2, Lunchmeat’s focus on audio-visual performances takes prominence, including an opening show from Raster founders Frank Bretschneider and Byetone presenting their latest A/V projects, to the many world premiere performances including aya and Sweatmother, Aquarian alongside Lunchmeat founder Jakub Pešek, and Dadub & Andrea Familiari’s ‘Hypersynchronous‘ piece.

Having been forced to cancel in 2020, Helena Hauff finally makes her debut at the festival. Berlin-based vocalist and composer Lyra Pramuk will also perform, and further audio-visual shows from Copenhagen musicians Lyra Valenza & Signe Dige, Collectif Coin, Oscar Mulero and Fraction.

The second lineup announcement adds essential UK-based acts Kode9, Pearson Sound, Loraine James and Lee Gamble in a Hyperdub label showcase. Houndstooth regulars Soft as Snow will perform an A/V show with Guynoid, and heavyweight rap duo Prison Religion complete the guests travelling to the Czech Republic for the event. 

Local talent GTA Soundsystem (Oliver Torr, Lotus Wash & Aid Kid) also make the first announcement, joined by a broad spread of Prague’s finest current musicians, with live performances from experimentalist Ursula Sereghy, songwriter and synthesist Never Sol, and ambient rap sensation bílej kluk. Slovak musician Stroon also joins forces with DevKid to create an Audio Visual show designed from his album inspired by the depth and majesty of organ music.

Local DJ support across the 6-day festival comes from NEW MAGIC MEDIA, a resident on local underground Radio Punctum, as well as Czech music scene stalwarts iadance & gertie adelaido b2b KISSTEMPERA.
