Now on the cusp of their eighth release, Aotearoa-based imprint Related Articles return with a 5-track extended player from the efflorescent misfit BJ Leo.

Following appearances on Wellington-based imprint Strange Behaviour and German label Finest Ego, the recent graduate of the sonic arts program at Te Kōkī – NZ School of Music delivers ‘Mutuals‘ – a computerised anomaly exploring cryptic club aesthetics combined with Bregman’s spectral fission theories and ambisonic spatialisation – a 3D sound technique.

Our pick is ‘ZS‘ – a phantom train ride through misty ambient textures, highly distorted and captivating chant and ricochet-like sound design. Taniwhas will greet you on the platform wherever you are going and teach you a valuable life lesson.
