Based in Brighton, Tonight’s Dream Records are a new label focused on ambient, downtempo and electronica. For their first release, the imprint have recruited UK electronic veteran Simon Huxtable for a full-length project.
Releasing music since the late nineties, Simon Huxtable has been active under a variety of monikers. For the past year or so, his focus has been on Inhmost, delivering no less than five full-length releases in 2021 – two in collaboration with ASC.
The artist’s next LP continues to probe the ambient and downtempo zone. Across the album’s eight tracks, Huxtable delivers sublime unhurried meanderings and meditative textural trips. Our pick is ‘So Far Away’, a track that gradually unfurls with the producer introducing elements that provide a survey of the full frequency spectrum.
