Premiere: n9oc – Inverted Refractions

Following a track contribution on EOS Radio’s inaugural compilation, Frankfurt-based producer and EOS resident n9oc joins Oliver Hafenbauer’s imprint Die Orakel next month to issue her first solo physical release.

Spanning six tracks, ‘Memory Allocator‘ renders some truly magical moments thanks to n9oc’s use of widescreen electronics and crystalline sound synthesis. Intertwining algorithmic sonics with IDM-inspired drums.

Our pick from the release is ‘Inverted Refractions‘ – an intricate example of the aforementioned. Opening up with celestial synths, it bleeps, judders and manipulates to create an abstract canvas of warbling bass and staccato hi-hats and rim shots. It’s a playful dance from the mind of n9oc.

‘Memory Allocator’ is scheduled for release on 10 February via Die Orakel. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
