Having successfully rallied up support from their fanbase during the pandemic, Waking Life have released a limited edition 3LP compilation featuring tracks from artists closely affiliated to the Portuguese festival.
Established in 2017, Waking Life is a one of a kind electronic music festival hosted at a lake near the medieval town of Crato in northern Alentejo – boasting spellbinding lineups and a bonafide natural environment, Waking Life has become a highly revered gathering of minds, expressions and experiences.
As a result of the pandemic, Waking Life was forced to be postponed in 2020. With the festival facing financial ruin, the organisers reached out to their audience to raise funds and keep the project afloat – by choosing to donate a percentage of their ticket towards the cause.
Those that donated 100% of their ticket were promised to receive “a rescue pack that will keep me connected and warm, including the first Waking Life collector’s vinyl. This vinyl will be exclusive and will not be for sale.” – now supporters have received their rescue pack and Discogs sharks are already closing in.
Featuring tracks from Lawrence, Map.ache, Aleksi Perälä, Terrence Dixon, The Ghostbusters, Cio D’or, Leafar Legov, Portable, Pan•American and many more – this compilation from Waking Life is teaming with raw talent, unwavering emotion and support.
