Premiere: Philogresz – Asakusa (Climax Version)

Philogresz’s aptly-titled ‘Climax’ version of his own track ‘Asakusa’, a pacey 4/4 roller looking for the summits. Interspersed with stealth, sliced-and-diced piano stabs and raucous sunken reverbs, it’s a progressive take-off that prepares, shuffling and revving up before leaving the ground to upper mental realms. An epic ascension.

Premiere: Decka – 003

Decka’s ‘003’ is a track so weighed down with bass and pressure it’s hard not to affiliate this to Berghain’s iconic signature sound. The track rolls out a mix of intense low-pitched freqs, fractal dub and gasping vocals to take full advantage of your body.

Premiere: Neotnas – Morning Way

Haunted by Ivan Pona’s voluptuous sax solos, ‘Morning Way’ meshes a classic Chicagoan shuffle and elastic bass line with mangled vox bits, setting its languid slo-mo groove against an alluring retro-laced ambient backdrop. Rolling deeper than deep, this smooth kaleidoscopic chugger shall please all fans of MCDE and beyond.

Premiere: DJ Spider – Necro Nebula

DJ Spider’s ‘Necro Nebula’, raises the curtain on a warlike scenario between astral bodies: as black holes spit their antimatter, reverberated echoes of meteor shower relentlessly and a padded lunar melody announces the arrival of an army of blue suns. Yet another full-on tribal tech mind-bender from the Arachnid-friendly producer. Humongous.

Premiere: Hidden Turn – How To

Hidden Turn’s first incursion on Doc Scott’s 31 Recordings came two years ago with the release of ‘Big Dirty’ – Today we are glad to present the transcending ‘How To’, a deep spiralling cut built around a forcible broken-beat backbone, as dubbed-out synth whirls, riffling organic echoes and wailing distorted layers keep swashing in suspended motion.
