December 9th will see the first iteration of Nul Cool, a new event series in Berlin that aims to explore forward thinking electronic music. Simo Cell and Minor Science will play the first edition and to raise excitement levels to the max, we are offering two people the chance to win a pair of tickets to the event along with vinyl from Simo Cell.
Since debuting on Livity Sound’s sub-label Dnuos Ytivil in 2015 Simo Cell has gone from strength to strength. Apart from follow up releases on Fragil Musique and Livity Sound, the Paris-based producer has also proved to be a talented DJ with a recent Boiler Room debut, guest appearances on NTS, a residency show on Rinse France, and a remarkable set at Atonal festival earlier this year, which we considered to be one of the festival highlights – all signifying him as a craftsman of rough, stormy, and syncopated UK-influenced club jams.
Another act to join the party will be Berlin based producer Minor Science, aka Angus Finlayson, who has gained much of attention through lo-fi driven 12″s on The Trilogy Tapes and Nick Tasker’s Whities imprint as well as a string of remixes for the likes of Cosmin TRG, Riverette, and Chevel. Nul Cool’s resident Daatsu will take charge of warm-up duties.
PRIZES
- A pair of tickets to Nul Cool with Simo Cell, Minor Science, Daatsu.
- Vinyl copy of Simo Cell ‘Cellar Door / Piste Jaune‘.
Competition ends 7th December 2016. The two winners will be contacted via email.
