Featuring some of his favourite oddball UK techno releases from the past alongside music from the labels that he’s into, this mix is a verdant exploration into Semtek’s musical taste.

We sat down with the man to discuss the origins of his love for electronic music, eclecticism and the ins and outs of his imprint, Molten Moods. At its core, ‘Compro’ feels like an album of classic design, comprising twelve tracks of similar lengths, with no filler, half-baked ideas, or perfunctory concessions at any stage. It has been pitched as an evolution of the techno album and as an experimental electronic journey, the past perfected and a blueprint of the future.

Music Video: Bary Center – Shell

American producer Bary Center shares his self-directed music video exclusively on IA – evoking the weird cult rituals of Eyes Wide Shut, kodachrome sorcery of Hausu and demoniac ambience of The Ninth Gate. Interlarded with cutaway shots of Bary himself, the dancers’ convulsive moves fit the rhythm and sound like a glove, mesmerising as can be.
