Oliver Hafenbauer and Pascal Mungioli launch online platform EOS Radio in Frankfurt

Oliver Hafenbauer and Pascal Mungioli join forces to launch EOS, a brand new radio and online platform operating out of Frankfurt, focussed on transmitting contemporary electronic music to the world.

EOS aims to build an expansive, community-oriented infrastructure for fostering and interconnecting artists and music professionals. In addition to radio, EOS incorporates an affiliated record label and a broad network of experts and collaborators as a starting point for new possible formats, mentoring and alliances.

EOS will kick off with an extensive online radio broadcast on 6 and 7 February 2021 (RSVP) and will further work on establishing a physical space for professional encounters and exchange. Listeners can expect a choice selection of programming, including; Aurora Halal, Anna Hjalmarsson, Ben UFO, DJ Slyngshot, Francesco Del Garda, Jasmine Infiniti, O-Wells, Skee Mask, Zoe McPherson.

To mark the occasion, we caught up with Oliver and Pascal to find out more about their vision.

What is your aim for EOS?

Strengthening the local musical communities and connecting them globally.

How will the radio station operate?

Right now we are functioning as an online streaming platform. In the near future, our plan is to become a physical radio station with an actual studio.

How frequently will shows be broadcasted?

For the time being, we are hosting a bunch of streaming events. All contributions will be available and archived on our website. The plan is to broadcast regularly and more often from a physical station from mid 2021.

How can people listen to EOS?

You can stream the shows via our website. The shows from Aurora Halal, Francesco Del Garda and DJ Slyngshot will be released on cassette. The artists are welcome to upload their shows onto Soundcloud or Mixcloud.
