Waking Life unveil second wave of acts: Andy Stott, Cio D’Or, Huerco S, Luke Abbott, Rrose

After its successful debut last year, Portuguese festival Waking Life, taking place near the village of Crato from 15th – 19th August, tops itself with a stellar line-up featuring some of the most revered talents from the electronic music community, setting the road for a magical five day festival experience down by the lake.

The festival’s vision is to offer a high quality and diverse selection of music, immersive performances & stimulating installations which are brought to life by the carefully selected musicians, artists and performers.

Artists set to perform live include Aleksi Perälä, Andy Stott, Ateq, Cachupa Psicadélica, Dwig, Map-ache, Jan Jelinek, Leafar Legov, Lone, Luigi Tozzi, Pandilla Ltd, Photay, Rrose, SIT, Sebastian Mullaert & Ulf Eriksson, Stavroz and Vibronics.

On the DJ front you are spoilt for choice with sets from Call Super, Cio D’Or, Deadbeat, DJrum, Eduardo de la Calle, Edward, Huerco S, Inga Mauer, Maayan Nidam, Objekt, Vladimir Ivkovic, Willow and many more.

Ecology is one of the main pillars of Waking Life and by taking several concrete measures such as working with solar energy, water purification systems, thorough waste management etc, they try to reduce their environmental impact as much as possible.

Furthermore, the festival has set up collaborations with organisations to involve refugees in the festival and increase awareness by offering workshops, screenings & debates.

Waking Life takes place between 15th – 19th August 2018.
