Graham Dunning: Auxon

Auxon is the first recorded documentation of Graham Dunning’s Mechanical Techno set up. Part installation, part hardware rave system…layers of vinyls spinning on record player axles are used to bash contact mics or trigger drum machines and synths, which are mixed and manipulated live.

Sordid Sound System: Lux Exterior

Mixing dub with the kind of cosmic dance floor work outs you might hear at Sean Johnston and Andy Weatherall’s ‘A Love from Outer Space’, each track features a seemingly effortless piecing together of myriad ideas.

Klara Lewis: Too

Shifting from stark ambience to unsettling rhythms, Lewis has taken familiar sounds and experiences, and turned them into something completely her own.

Space Dimension Controller talks up “Orange Melamine”

Space Dimension Controller’s latest album “Orange Melamine” was recorded entirely on VHS tape during his teens in his brothers room, no less, the Irish cosmonaut answered some of our questions about the album and the dimension he’s headed in.

Premiere: XXXV Gold Fingers – Galegos

Today we’re proud to stream XXXV Gold Fingers ‘Galegos’ in full, an effusive groover deploying a relentless drive of peppy bongos, interspersed with fuzzy organ stabs, African folk vocals and dopey synthlines rising from the deep basket like a charmed snake. Move and groove!

Death In Vegas: Transmission

Fans of Death In Vegas’ early output may find this album too static and repetitious, however anyone with a penchant for visceral techno and atmospheric electronica is likely to disagree fervently with such an appraisal. For an intense listening experience, Transmission certainly delivers.

Premiere: Lemme Kno – 1234567

We’re no short of proud to premiere the pumping closer, ‘1234567’, in full today – most certainly the track that fits Future Times cross-cut themes and jazzy dynamism like a glove here. A fertile ravey vibe doped on slashing drums and fierce snares, jump-roping bleeps and bloops taking care of the track’s melodic sublimation. Tasty as it gets.

Head-to-Head: Mark E + Eugene Whang

With Eugene Wang and Mark E coming together to great effect under the Public Release banner, and generally being good friends, we sat back and let them take control of the questions in this head to head.

Premiere: Nathan Melja – Gold Rings

We sat down with Nathan Melja as he reflects on his new ‘No No No’ offering, discusses his Dream Real residency, club and non-club music and teases us with some exciting plans for the Winter. Meanwhile, enjoy the moony ‘Gold Rings’ in full-stream – refashioning ‘Leo Draws’ emotional pads with a raw, protuberant drum programming and enhanced balearic feel. Let the charm act.

Bugaev: Sonm

Somn feels altogether more complete – building on Bugaev’s previous work with comprehensive excursions that nestle somewhere neatly between the peaceful and the compelling.
