The Beat Escape

Ahead of the release of The Beat Escape album on Bella Union, the Montreal-based duo serve up a mix stamped with their usual seal of elegance. From Bill Nelson to Pink Industry, via Raze De Soare and Degrees of Freedom; this mix is for sunny days and aimless wanderings in the park.

Khotin: Aloe Drink

Fresh off a remix on Public Release’s latest EP, Vancouver-based producer Khotin turns up on the San Franciscan label again with his new solo effort, ‘Aloe Drink’. Like its title suggests, the present batch metes out four organically-grown chill house groovers, both mildly bracing and revitalising as can be; recommended for when the scorching sun’s turning the city into an open-air oven. Stream Force Of Nature’s revamp within.

Music Video: Bézier – Entr’acte

Tying the music of Bézier with images of a figureless desert where organic shapes and saturated colours weave a fascinating canvas of quietude and eternity, Charles Ludeke delivers his compelling vision of ‘Entr’acte’, lifted from the San Francisco-based producer’s debut album on Dark Entries.

Losoul: Island Time

It has been over 10 years since Losoul released his former ‘Care’ LP on Playhouse. Despite the decade wait Peter Kremeier is a man who consistently refines his craft and that’s why ‘Island Time’ is not a come back but rather a celebration album that showcases his honed skills and dedication to the love of music.

Music Video: тпсб – Paris CDG

Hot on the heels of his excellent debut album ‘Sekundenschlaf’, freshly out via Blackest Ever Black, Russian-born, Münster-based producer тпсб steps up on Noorden with ‘Paris CDG’, a curious two-track hybrid tape of airport-recorded field takes and stripped-back electronics.

Solaris

Prominent Leipzig based-selector Solaris serves up a stomping mix that delves deep into her experimental record collection, featuring an upcoming track from M.E.S.H. – This one is not for the faint-hearted!

Mark Pritchard: The Four Worlds

‘The Four Worlds’ feels strange and contextless, a peculiar statement that may seem at first like it doesn’t know what it’s aiming for. Don’t be fooled though, as this bewildered unfamiliarity is an aim in itself. Pulled away from the record and taken as singular statements, any of these eight tracks might not make much sense, but together, they cohere into something weirdly beautiful.
