Pépe

Valencia-based producer Pépe puts together a mix that defies rhythmic linearity to explore further broken-beat friendly and deeper electronic realms. The result is a serious trip for the body and mind, sure to bring some welcome warmth in these days of cold and wet.

Jonas Friedlich

Since surfacing two years ago on Molten Moods Jonas Friedlich has been championing a sound that wholeheartedly crosses segments of stomping techno, old-school junglism, pot-fuelled Bristolian riddims and post-industrial atmospherics to design a uniquely trenchant arsenal of dancefloor-dedicated weapons. We caught up with the German producer to find out more about his origins.

Arad

Following our music video premiere of Arad’s ‘Inti’ on Bedouin Records, we drafted the Irish producer in for a mix to find out the intricacies of his new audio visual project. We also discuss his residency on Dublin Digital Radio and producing a soundtrack for a horror movie.

Garies

Garies mix oscillates between a post-Rephlex kind of vibe and off-kilter robot scripts on a balearic tip, as New Jackson’s signature woozy, sensuous electronics and Lumigraph’s further sturdy hybrid techno alloys weave a fascinating floor narrative.

Piska Power

Showcasing the breadth of his skills through a dizzying maelstrom of feverish percussions, bouncy 303 arpeggios and enticing bird calls captured during various field-recording excursions, Piska Powers contribution encompasses his unparalleled vision with optimal results.

Lake Haze

While dispensing his unique blends of bleached-out techno grooves on TLR’s Crème Organisatrion and DJ Haus’ UTTU, or at the helm of his label Eye For An Eye, Lake Haze keeps pushing for a sound both hazy and sharp, melancholic but propulsive.

Solpara

NYC-based producer Solpara drops the hammer down in particularly heavy fashion, showing the most muscular facet of his persona up until you’ve learnt your lesson. Let go of your beach towel, sunglasses and lotion, it’s time to drape in black and stick your head into the squawker.

Alessandro Adriani

We had the rare opportunity to catch up with Italian artist and label boss Alessandro Adriani and delve further into his aims and aspirations for Mannequin Records. His mix delivery is unlike anything we’ve heard from him before and is comprised of edits from his collection of 7”s, resurfaced Italo and minimal synth sounds from the 1980’s.

Natural/Electronic.System.

Ahead of their performance at Paral·lel Festival 2018 we caught up with Natural/Electronic.System. to find out more about their roots, collaboration with fellow Italian producer Neel and their relationship with the Paral·lel festival crew.

Semtek

With Don’t Be Afraid setting benchmarks and then successively smashing them, Inverted Audio was presented with the chance to host a mix from B.D.A. label boss Benjamin Roth aka Semtek. Featuring some of his favourite oddball UK techno releases from the past alongside music from the labels that he’s into, this mix is a verdant exploration into Semtek’s musical taste.

Jonas Yamer

Encompassing his “club night suspense in a nutshell”, Jonas Yamer’s mix delivery for IA is a proper riveting multisensory head trip rife with flaring breakbeat rhythms, hazy late night atmospheres and tribal techno motifs. We sat down with the man to discuss the origins of his love for electronic music, eclecticism and the ins and outs of his imprint, Molten Moods. Stretch a bit, set your speakers to full blast and fire away.

Phuong-Dan

We’re no short of chuffed to welcome Golden Pudel’s one and only Phuong-Dan to our mix series. Clocking in with one of his idiosyncratic boundary-pushing sets, Dan delivers a finespun piece of intricate and hallucinogenic ambience-scaping.

Jacques Bon

With less than a month to go until Farr Festival, Jacques Bon provides a potent mix of deep house, psychedelic disco, church bells and experimental electronics giving us a hint at his highly anticipated deejay set at Farr Festival.

Andrew Red Hand

Romania’s finest Detroit-repping firebug Andrew Red Hand steps up in our mix series with a laser-guided suite of propulsive uptempo hybrids and high-octane, 303-laden bracers; raising his glass to UR and cronies with one hand as he drops the hammer with the other.

Jenus

Ahead of HER DAMIT and the debut edition of 7001 Festival this summer in Germany, we caught up with former Ostgut Ton label manager Jenus Baumecker-Kahmke to learn more about his musical heritage, love of vinyl and his involvement with the music and art world in London and Berlin. Jenus’ mix is a deep sonic journey into the realms of ambient and electro-acoustic music.

re:ni
