Best Music Videos of 2015

This year we felt that a lot of up-and-coming artists who we didn’t know last year made their mark with plenty of potential to be explored in depth. Here’s our pick of the best music videos of 2015.

Matilda Skelton Mace

Ahead of our rave in Peckham on 13 November, we caught up with visual artist Matilda Skelton Mace to discuss her light sculptures and how she will be installing them into Bussey Building to create an all encompassing magnetic audiovisual experience.

Premiere: Morkebla & BAT ‘Go Slumming’

Made up of mangled 3D particles and glitchy phreatic visions, the video draws custom-made contours to the grainy ambientisms of Morkebla and BAT’s compositions. A magnificent three-minute visual trip we can do nothing but urge you to watch.

Neversleep: Propaganda Mix

UK-based collective Neversleep (Moiré and Disguise) team up with Inverted Audio to present a stunning 30-minute audio-visual mashup of film fragments and visual experiments driven by a kaleidoscopic soundtrack. Neversleep are also offering a free download of an unreleased track.

Visualising Sound with Joëlle

We caught up with visual artist Joelle to discover more about her interest in creative coding and generative graphics using languages such as Quartz Composer to create real-time live visuals.
